Providence Plastic Logo Design

I got to know one of the primary members of the Providence Plastic Project when he married my sister-in-law. They had been focused on developing their product following a collaboration with non-profit organization Waste for Life while students at the Rhode Island School of Design. I personally use one of their wallets made from recycled materials and admire my brother-in-law’s passionate commitment to developing not just a product but a manufacturing process that could create employment opportunities for unskilled workers.

The logo development process had us brainstorming ideas based on native Rhode Island plant life, industrial and material iconography, the universal recycling symbol and old-fashioned embroidered uniform badges.
