Raw Materials

This website is set in Times New Roman and Helvetica if they are available on your system. The most compelling reason for using these fonts for a website design is their near ubiquity on personal computers thanks to Microsoft and Apple.

The graphics used in this design are part photograph and part illustration. The articulate and zany text is all original. Unlike the typefaces, I can take credit for these elements.

Construction

The graphics and typefaces are brought together by text files. This website’s text files were checked and found to be valid XHTML 1.0 Strict. This means that this site’s pages identify themselves as “XHTML 1.0 Strict” and that the World Wide Web Consortium’s Markup Validation Service successfully performed a formal validation using an XML Parser.
